Welder and Fabricator - Trainee

The Role
A new opportunity has arisen for a trainee Welder and Fabricator.
You will be involved in the assembly of engineering projects, working alongside an experienced manufacturing team. You will be trained to work from technical drawings and completing a high standard of TIG/MIG welding on stainless steel freezing and chilling systems.

• Based in the Lowestoft Head Office
• Manufacturing - using stainless steel sheet metal work
• Understand fabrication drawings
• Mark out / Tack and Weld ready for inspection
• Produce accurate work to a high standard
• Operate safety equipment and use safe working practices at all times

The Ideal Candidate
As a trainee welder and fabricator, you’ll play a key role in our workshop. It is essential you have a good understanding of manufacturing drawings and knowledge of the engineering industry.
You will have completed a City & Guilds / NVQ in Fabrication or Welding and have a full understanding of health and safety and safe work behaviours. You will be required to work under pressure within a busy manufacturing environment.
An internal training programme will be supplied to the successful candidate.
This position would ideally suit a college leaver or someone who is looking to start a career in engineering.

Design Engineer

The Role
The principal duties will involve overseeing projects and producing equipment manufacturing drawings using 3D AutoCAD Inventor.
• Based in the Lowestoft Head Office
• Prepare proposal and manufacturing drawings
• Identify technologies to advance the capabilities of the process
• Work with project team members to improve equipment design
• Communicate results to management team

The Ideal Candidate
Proficiency in a 3D CAD modelling platform is required, specifically Autodesk Inventor. The position is varied and challenging and will involve supplier liaison and inter-departmental cooperation to develop new solutions, therefore it is essential you have good communication skills. The role would ideally suit someone who is a proactive individual with an attention to detail and accuracy.
