We pleased to announce our team of engineers have installed a Contact Hardener for crust freezing chicken portions in Taiwan.
 
The install was recently completed for a poultry producer as part of a new factory expansion project. The Contact Hardener has been custom designed to harden the underside of the poultry products with rapid crust freezing technology.
 
The customer selected this crust freezing process to achieve frozen, firm poultry portions prior to waterjet portion cutting, enabling consistent results and higher quality end product.
 
Starfrost’s Contact Hardener surface freezes the underside of high value products, minimising drip loss, maximising yield and improving overall product quality. Ideal for crust freezing raw meats and poultry, as well as seafood products, that might be delicate or require no belt marking.
 
The Contact features a reusable polyethylene film conveyor belt which passes over a refrigerated plate, a method that provides one of the fastest and most efficient freezing processes available to the food processing industry.
